First and foremost, I want to praise and thank God for the guidance and discernment over the course of my program. There were many times I wanted to throw in the towel, but I am grateful for the strength and endurance that allowed me to push through to the finish line.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” - Philippians 4:12
My husband has been a huge support for me throughout this program. He was my reminder of how far I have come and being able to do it on top of so many other things. These moments helped fuel me at times I was running on E. This season of grad school will also always be a reminder of when we got married. In the moments of trials and tribulations, there are moments of celebration and joy. Thank you Vaaselau Logotala for your endless love and grace towards me during this long journey. #HerBoat #HisAnchor
My parents are my heart. This journey has been the first for my family. While they may not fully understand the ins and outs of higher education & let alone my program, their moral support, prayers and encouragement is what I will cherish. I have always been the proud daughter of my parents & now, I’m blessed with two additional loving parents who love me and support me wholeheartedly. This degree is not for me, but for them. We did it family! We master’d it!
Alofa atu!
To my mentors, I cannot thank my mentors enough for pouring so much care, knowledge and love into me. You all believed in me and saw the potential that took me a while to see in myself. Y’all affirmed and grew me into a young individual who has the ability to empower those she serves. You challenged me in ways that stretched my thinking and comfortability. You took care of me when I needed encouragement. You celebrated me in all my accomplishments. My heart is so full because of the community alofa I receive. Thank you to Tanya, Christine, Jimmy, James, Johanna, Alaina, DJ, and Surtida.
