Artifact C1: Research and Scholarship
This entry contains my best scholarly research paper regarding best practices focused on a specific functional areas Residential Life and Diversity Centers. I wrote this paper while in SDAD 5750 Best Practices in Student Services. This artifact was created to dig deeper into student success looking by examining model institutions, Pacific Lutheran University and South Seattle College, and how they utilize student theories and frameworks to inform their work.
This artifact demonstrates my ability to understand the foundations and emerging nature of Student Affairs. This artifact emphasizes the importance of curriculum to expand student learning and ensure the focus is on the student rather than what the educator wants students to learn.
