Artifact D: Best Demonstration of Professional Practice
This entry contains one of my growth opportunities in my professional career. At my previous institution, UW Tacoma, I oversaw the RISE Cohort program. The RISE program is for first time in college students of color. This entry shows the theory and frameworks that informed the creation of the program, the collaborations with the different campus departments, and learning outcomes for the students.
This artifact demonstrates my ability to utilize assessment, evaluation and technology to improve the RISE cohort program. This artifact also demonstrates my growth of becoming a more effective and reflective practitioner through researching historical practices of the institutions and exploring best practices for similar programs at different institutions. This entry also demonstrates my ability to showcase my leadership skills through collaborative work with staff, faculty and students.
This entry addresses the following learning outcomes
LO #3: Exhibiting professional integrity and ethical leadership in professional practice.
LO #4: Understanding and fostering diversity, justice and a sustainable world formed by a global perspective and Jesuit Catholic tradition.
LO #5: Adapting student services to specific environments and cultures.
LO #7: Utilize assessment, evaluation, technology, and research to improve practice.
LO #8: Communicating effectively in speech and in writing.
LO #10: Establishing and enhancing professional identity.
LO #12: Become a more effective reflective practitioner.
